At the end of every year, Instagrammers from all around use the Top Nine app to pull a list of their 9 most liked Instagram posts. Along with being a fun visual of your most liked content, it gives businesses insight into what their audience likes. Here are a few things I learned with my top posts of the year.
What I Learned:
- My audience really likes beautiful images! Thanks Mary Wyar for taking the majority of my photos! 🙂
- Watching a full before and after room renovation is really satisfying
- 95% of my images are from the second half of the year (after Haven Conference) – I learned a lot at this blogger conference and was lucky to have a new home to create
Here are my nine most liked Instagram posts in 2019:
Dining Room Picture Ledge
This was the first post for me that did REALLY well! It was a little bit of a rush to see how many people saved this image on Instagram (almost 300). Beautiful photos and a relatable caption really resonate with my audience. The One Room Challenge gave me so much great content and I am so proud of the DIY picture ledge I built to create the perfect focal point in our dining room.
Not surprised that the kitchen of my dreams was one of my audiences favorite images too! This was such a fun project and a HUGE transformation from the kitchen in this house just 4 months prior. Chris and I put a lot of love into the design of this space and added our own touches with tiling and painting.
Kitchen Side View
This post of our kitchen came with a very different before image. Our kitchen is classic and traditional with modern flair. I am so glad you love it as much as I do!
This was my first time participating in the One Room Challenge and I am hooked! It was so much fun, super motivating to complete a project and I made so many friends. This was the perfect project to take on before the holidays.
You all loved the progress shot of the new paint color on the walls. I always preach that paint is SO transformative and this room proves it. I created a full step by step painting tutorial as well.
This action shot in my dining room was also in my top 9. I think images that show a space in use are really powerful. I created a beautiful table setting for to host for the holidays. This dining room was made to host big parties!
Original Family Room
I asked for your help with liking this post and you all delivered! ChrisLovesJulia was hosting a contest to help makeover a space in your home and you needed to get a lot of likes. I didn’t win the contest but this room has gone through quite the transformation! New white walls and a cozy space for our family to hangout.
Toledo Art Museum
I am so happy that one of my art museum images made it into the top 9! Visiting our local art museum is one of my favorite activities with the kids. They always offer the most magical art installations and general admission is FREE! This is another post where a great caption and beautiful image resonated with my audience.
Holiday Mantle Decor by LoveResidesHere
This fall I started sharing my favorite images from the #housetohomehaven hashtag and this beautiful one from @loveresideshere was a crowd pleaser! The minimal look of what and green was what caught my eye and I am obsessed the waterfall garland! I met a group of friends at the Haven conference and we started the #housetohomehaven share group. It has been so much fun to look at the inspiring photos that use the hashtag and we started weekly blog link-up’s too! Stay tuned for great, new content from the Haven crew in 2020!
