I am SO excited that I can finally share the big plans I have in store for Building Bluebird!
Chris and I have made the decision to move our family home to Toledo once we sell our home in April where I can fully focus on my passion of home renovation and real estate. This was not an easy decision by any means but we know it is best for our family and are excited to begin this next big adventure.
I will provide more detail with all of our plans through out these next few weeks, but for now I wanted to answer the two most commonly asked questions we get:
1. What are you going to do in Toledo?
I am currently studying to become a realtor with the Welles Bowen team and will be licensed in the next few months. If you are looking for a home in the area, let's chat!!
Chris and I will be purchasing income properties including multi-family homes and mobile home parks (more on this later)
Toledo has the most beautiful homes and I am dying to get my hands on one of those forgotten beauties and bringing it back to its former glory
2. Why are you moving to Toledo?
My first first response, of course, is because Toledo rocks! duh. But here are some other reasons...
It's our hometown
This is our hometown and it a wonderful place to raise a family. We both grew up in Toledo and it is filled with friendly, kind and hard working people. I grew up around cousins and love that my children will be close to their cousins, aunts/uncles and grandparents. It also has great schools.
Because I'm a Bad Ass Momma!
I want to teach my kids to reach for their dreams and lead by example. I am a strong woman and want to inspire my kids and others to take chances. Your dreams won't be handed to you perfectly packaged in a box, you have to take chances to make your dreams a reality. The only failure is when you are too scared to take the risk and try.
amazing old homes & city potential!
Toledo is filled with beautiful old homes and neighborhoods with affordable price tags. I love the history of many of these old neighborhoods and the stories that come with each home.
Denver will always be one of my favorite places to live, but let's face it, I'm not the only one. Denver is no longer our little secret and more and more people are moving here every year. Toledo has a lot going on too and in the last 10 years the downtown has been revitalized with the new ballpark, hockey arena and ProMedica headquarters. I want to bring back some of the skills I have learned while I was away and and put it into a city that I love.
My babies are growing up so fast and I want to spend as much time with them as I can. I am looking forward to picking my kids up from school and having the flexibility to spend more time with them and my husband during the week. We also have an amazing support system with our family in Toledo and I know we can rely on them in a pinch if we need help with the kiddos.
I am really looking forward to spending more time on my blog and my passion of renovating homes and finding beautiful homes for deserving people.
Thanks for following along on our crazy adventure!
