Today I am sharing with you a few easy tips to declutter and organize your playroom! Having a dedicated place for your kids to play in your house is a luxury in itself, but adding these organization ideas to the space will make it even better! Having a space for my kids to be creative makes my heart happy and blood pressure low. 🙂
I love that these simple organization tips give a clear blueprint for where the toys need to go at the end of the day. These quick and easy updates have made our life so much easier and and my children more responsible. How can you not love that?!
I can’t believe how cluttered we let this room get! There are big, bulky items and toys everywhere!
It is great that all of the toys are dedicated to one room in the house, but I really needed to give it some attention to assign areas for toys to go at the end of the day.
Before the organization update, this side of the room was littered with toys on the floor. This walkway was a complete trip hazard and the toy box was stuffed to the gills.
I swear I did not pitch all of my children’s toys! This cleanup was a combination of purging toys and increasing storage. You would never even know it was a playroom. 🙂
You can see that Thomas has lots of places to create art and display his work on the magnetic chalkboards. I put the old coffee table in storage and moved the toy bin in its place. This now holds toys and dress-up clothes and still acts as a coffee table!
Thomas and I painted the artwork above the lamp. I love adding personal touches like this to a room.
My talented friend made this toy storage unit and it is a life saver! I absolutely love how it turned out.
This gallery wall of the kiddos makes me so happy! I purchased the frames from Ikea and used photos taken by Sarah Renee Photography.
Now that this space is organized, I will be focusing on our next big project, painting the fireplace! I will be painting this rock wall white to brighten up the room and paint the trim white.
What are your tips can you share to organize your playroom?
