Flip 3: Organizing the Playroom

August 13, 2019

The playroom has officially become my favorite room in the house! Having a space for my kids to be creative makes my heart happy. It also helps that everything has a spot to be tucked away at the end of the day.

Playroom Before

I can’t believe how cluttered we let this room get! There are big bulky items and toys everywhere!

Playroom After

I swear I did not pitch all of my children’s toys!  This cleanup was a combination of purging toys and increasing storage. You would never even know it was a playroom. čÖé

You can see that Thomas has lots of places to create art and display his work on the magnetic chalkboards. I put the old coffee table in storage and moved the toy bin in its place. This now holds toys and dress up clothes and still acts as a coffee table!

Thomas and I painted the artwork above the lamp. I love adding personal touches like this to a room.

My friend, Pat, of Platte River Woodworks made this toy storage unit and it is a life saver! I absolutely love how it turned out.

This gallery wall of the kiddos makes me so happy! I purchased the frames from Ikea and used photos taken by Sarah Renee Photography.  Check out her studio makeover here.

Now that this space is organized, I will be focusing on our next big project, the fireplace! I will be painting this rock wall white to brighten up the room and paint the trim white.
