How to Make a Beautiful Pumpkin Flower Arrangement

This unique floral arrangement costs less than $20 and adds a festive touch to any tablescape.

These flowers aren’t just to set the table, they also make a great gift! In total, this project took about 30 minutes to create two arrangements.

Let’s get started on this quick and simple Fall DIY project.

How to Make Your Own Pumpkin Floral Arrangement

Before beginning this project, I gathered supplies from Kroger, our local grocery store.

Materials Needed for the Project

Pumpkin (similar) – you can use any type of pumpkin you want
Wet Floral Foam – I had leftover foam in my storage closet that I used for this project
Fall floral bouquet – look for warm, Fall-colored flowers

1 | Cut the Floral Foam and Add Water

First, cut your floral foam to fit on top of the pumpkin stem. I used mini pumpkins which only required a small amount of floral foam.

Next, fill the foam with water so that it is completely saturated. I placed the foam under the water tap until it no longer soaked up water and turned dark green.

2 | Attach Floral Foam to the Pumpkin

This next step is super easy, press the floral foam onto the stem of the pumpkin until it is secure.

3 | Arrange the Flowers on the Pumpkin

Determine how large you want your pumpkin floral arrangement to be and cut your flowers to size. Because I am using smaller pumpkins, I want the bouquet to look proportionate to the pumpkin, therefore, the stems will not be very long.

The goal is to create an arrangement that hides the green foam in the center of the pumpkin. I attached flowers and leaves at the base of the foam to camouflage the green block.

Continue sticking in flowers until the arrangement is full and your desired shape.

I absolutely love this quick and easy DIY that really dresses up our dining room table. Along with the floral arrangements, I added orange candlesticks purchased at an estate sale and set the table.

These flower arrangements are perfect for the Fall season, not just Thanksgiving! I used the pumpkin flowers as decoration alongside our Halloween decor and the warm colors fit perfectly.
