This fall floral arrangement costs less than $20 and adds a festive touch to any fall tablescape.
These flowers aren’t just to set the table, they also make a great gift! In total, this project took about 30 minutes to create two arrangements.

Pumpkin Flower Arrangement | Step-by-Step Tutorial

Materials Needed for the Project
Before beginning this project, I gathered supplies from Kroger, our local grocery store.
- Real Pumpkin (similar) – you can use any type of pumpkin you want – I used an orange and white pumpkin for the base of the arrangement
- Garden Shears – to cut the flowers
- Wet Floral Foam – I had a block of floral foam in my storage closet that I used for this project
- Fall floral bouquet – look for a bunch of flowers with traditional fall colors
1 | Cut the Floral Foam and Add Water
First, cut your floral foam to fit on top of the pumpkin stem. I used mini pumpkins which only required a small amount of floral foam.
Next, fill the foam with water so that it is completely saturated. I placed the foam under the water tap until it no longer soaked up water and turned dark green.
2 | Attach Floral Foam to the Pumpkin
The next step to create the pumpkin centerpiece is to press the floral foam on the stem of the pumpkin until it is secure.
3 | Arrange the Flowers on the Pumpkin
The great thing about this easy DIY centerpiece is that you get the look of a pumpkin vase without the mess of carving the pumpkin!
Determine how large you want your pumpkin floral arrangement to be and cut your flowers to size. Because I am using smaller pumpkins, I want the fall flower arrangement to look proportionate to the pumpkin, therefore, the stems will not be very long.
The goal is to create a fresh flower arrangement that hides the green foam in the middle of the pumpkin. Using sturdy flowers, I pressed the stem into the foam and began to camouflage the foam block.
Continue adding real flowers into the center of the pumpkin until it is full and you have achieved the desired shape. For the best results, use a variety of flowers that fit your color scheme. Seasonal fresh flowers, like mums, are a great option for your pumpkin arrangement.
