Blue and white pottery first became popular in China in the 14th century with the discovery of cobalt blue. This is often why Chinoiserie designs are very commonly found with modern-day blue and white pottery sold in stores. Another popular blue and white brand with historical significance is Royal Delft. Delftware originated in the Netherlands and its blue and white pottery became incredibly popular in Europe in the 1600s.

Natural Blue and White Christmas Porch Decor
This Christmas tree by Creekline is just beautiful. As an outdoor Christmas tree, the natural decor used to decorate the tree is perfect. I love the look of dried hydrangeas in a tree and the floral branches add that nice pop of blue. If you are looking for a tree with decor that isn’t too fussy, this is a great option!

Maximalist Blue and White Christmas Decor
This gorgeous blue and white Christmas tree is for the maximalist living inside of all of us! KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms always has the most beautiful holiday decor throughout her home. This blue and white tree is filled with bulbs of varying blue and white tones. This tree has great dimension because of the variety of finishes with the blue and white bulbs. Some of the bulbs have a shiny finish, some have a matte finish, and others have a glittery finish.

Muted Blue and White Christmas Tree
If you love the farmhouse style, consider using more muted colors like Live Oak Nest. When neutral colors are combined with other rustic touches like frayed ribbon and flocked tree branches, the result is a relaxed and cozy space.

Simple Blue Bows on the Christmas Tree
Blue velvet bows attached to tree branches are an elegant and simple way to decorate a tree for Christmas. Gwen from the Makerista decorated two small trees in her dining room with blue bows and white ornaments and the result is an understated elegance. The blue candlesticks in the silver candelabras are another great touch in this room.

Subtle Blue and White Christmas Decor Mantle
AH Design Co brings Christmas cheer to her faux mantle with white stockings and a mixture of blue ribbons. Brass and wood touches threaded throughout greenery complete the festive look in this space.

Blue and White Chinoiserie Ornaments
Chinoiserie designs have a historical connection to blue and white decor, so why not decorate an entire Christmas tree with Chinoiserie ornaments? This design is by Jenny Wolf (found via House Beautiful) and it looks lovely surrounded by the other blue and white decor throughout this room. This style of Christmas tree will look fantastic in a coastal home by the water.

Blue and White Christmas Tablescape
While red, green, and gold are the most obvious colors to use with a holiday tablescape, I love this surprise of blue and white with formal place settings. Because blue and white have such a traditional feel, it pairs well with the other traditional colors of Christmas. I love the pop of plaid below the blue and white plate and stocking created by Pizzazzerie.

Moody Christmas Decor with Navy
Many of the inspiring designs I share include a lighter blue and white pairing, but this navy blue Christmas decor made my jaw drop. While there is not as much white included in this Christmas tree, the navy ribbons, ornaments, and mixture of navy blue and green plaid are just gorgeous.

Mini Blue and White Christmas Tree in a Planter
If you are looking to dip your toe in the water with blue and white Christmas decor, why not create a mini tree? This Christmas tree is so sweet and seems quite simple to recreate. A blue and white planter, a blue ribbon for the topper, and a few blue and white ornaments complete the look! Chappie Handler has many inspiring blue and white design images throughout her site, it was hard to pick just one!

Blue and White Kitchen with Holiday Greenery
Many of us have white kitchens, so I found this simple Christmas decor by Citron Living very inspiring. A few touches of greenery and blue ribbon bows create a festive, yet minimal Christmas feel.

Navy Blue, Silver and Gold Christmas Decor
Here is another gorgeous Christmas tree that incorporates navy blue, silver, and gold. Style House Interiors did an incredible job mixing these colors throughout the tree with a variety of elements including ribbon, faux flowers, ornaments, and decorative branches. It is incredible how festive a room can feel without using the color red anywhere.

I hope these images of blue and white Christmas decor inspire you to think outside of the box when decorating for the holidays. I am already thinking about how I can incorporate more velvety blue ribbon and blue and green plaid throughout our home.
