1 | Flocked Christmas Tree in Historic Home

We have already established that red and gold are classic Christmas colors that look great in traditional style homes and this tree is the perfect example. This beautiful tree is displayed in my aunt and uncles large foyer of their historic home from the early 1900s. The warmth of the red and gold Christmas decor compliments that warmth in the wood detailing througout the room.

3 | Traditional Christmas Tree

I am always inspired by my in-law’s beautiful Christmas tree and have used many of their decorating tricks in my own home. If you are buying a real tree, a Frasier fir is our preferred tree to hang lots of ornaments. The branches are sturdy and the tree doesn’t drop as many needles as other. The second tip is to add a mix of string lights, both warm white and colored lights. Adding enough lights is the key to a magical, glowing Christmas tree.

Another simple and traditional Christmas tree with red candles clipped to its branches. The red candlestick and warm, golden glow of the candle create a cozy mood in this large room.
