Laundry rooms are one of my favorite projects to makeover because they are often left as boring and uninspiring spaces. It is so refreshing to do a not-so-fun task like laundry in a beautiful space. While kitchens and bathrooms often sell the home, I believe that beautiful laundry rooms seal the deal. I have been pinning laundry room inspiration images these last few months and have decided to make this my first big project of 2020. I am still working through my plans on our laundry room, but I know that it will be budget friendly! Today I am sharing five gorgeous laundry rooms that I added to my Pinterest board when planning this project.
5 Inspiring Laundry Room Makeovers
Floor Pattern
The Makerista has amazing style and is a master thrifter. I am always inspired by her home designs and the beautiful clothes and home decor she finds at thrift shops in her town. Her new laundry room is soooo pretty! I love the bold color and fun patterns. I am planning to recreate a similar floor for my laundry room with a fun DIY project.

Waterfall Shelf
Our laundry room came with an older washer and dryer and we will not be updating them any time soon. I love the waterfall shelf that Young House Love DIY’ed in their laundry room space. It provides more usable space and helps to prevent random objects from falling behind the washer and dryer. Oh and it hides some of the not so pretty stuff like cords and vents! I will be attempting to create my own version of this waterfall ledge.

Color Palette & Counter
The color palette in Room for Tuesday’s laundry room refresh is so calming! She DIY’ed many of the projects in her laundry room including the floor and covering the laminate countertop. I am planning on covering my laundry room countertop as well with the same black contact paper on my blue countertops.

Laundry Room Shelf & Storage
This laundry room makeover is full of DIY projects by Frills and Drills. The storage and design is all really inspiring. I plan on recreating the shelf and adding some sort of hanger solution in my laundry room. I really like the touch of bass in this space too.

Painted Floor
Last year, At Home with Ashley completely transformed her laundry room for the One Room Challenge. If you haven’t seen it, definitely go check it out on her blog. The one DIY project that I really love is her painted floors. I will be painting my linoleum floors in a pattern for my budget friendly DIY and I hope they look as good as hers! Even though this is a space to clean dirty clothes, it is so beautiful! I love the attention to detail and pretty things she placed throughout the space.

I used Pinterest and Instagram to source my laundry room inspiration and it really helped to create my own design plans. I can’t wait to start this fun project and share the step by step process with you! Later this month I will be sharing my design plans with you and I am scheduled to begin my laundry room makeover at the end of January. Thanks for following along!
